Finally the Weekend!

Hey everyone,

One whole week done already, that's one fourth of the program! It seem so crazy, and I'm having a great time, but I'll be glad to be home in a few weeks too.

My roommates and I spent the day on the town, doing some shopping and exploring. I never get tired of looking at this city, the buildings are so beautiful. Even the tiniest, cheesiest souvenir shop has a gorgeous old storefront, hardwood floors and stone walls, it's so crazy! I really could spend a whole month just taking pictures of doors and doorways, but I'm afraid there are other things to do.

I did my reading last night for the whole group, which was a little scary, but I think it went well. I got lots of good feedback and curiosity about my story, so I guess it doesn't get much better than that. I get to actually workshop it in class on Wednesday, so I'm excited to see what everyone thought of it. Thanks to everyone who requested a copy to check it out themselves, I appreciate your support and I hope you enjoyed it!

I think the plan for tomorrow is homework, laundry, and the cleaning of my room. It's amazing how quickly I can make a mess of things. Granted, in a small space, a little mess can go a long way.

Please feel free to email me, comment here or Skype me if you have one! Like I said, words from home are always nice. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer!

Love,
Em

P.S.- There are new pictures up at my PhotoBucket if you click on the link on the right!

  1. Can I still request a copy? Please? I meant to ask for it sooner, but I was house-sitting this past week and couldn't get the internet on my laptop.

I'm so glad that you're having a great time! I love all of your pictures and wish I could see the beautiful city you're in now. When you get back, I demand big sis/lil' sis time so you can tell me everything!

    Love,
    Your lil' sis
